THE ALCHEMIST OF RELIEF

A 1998 graphic arts graduate from Collège Salette, Patrice Dufour establishes himself as an architect of matter. This Quebec visual artist builds a three-dimensional body of work of profound impact, fusing pure intuition with the rigor of high-luxury organic design.

His artistic journey bears witness to a constant evolution toward the absolute mastery of volumes that catch and make the ambient light an accomplice to his meditative microcosms.

The blossoming of his career in 2006 marks the beginning of a passionate exploration of texture, vibrant colors, and dreamlike gradients. His notable presence in multiple symposiums rapidly propels his art onto the international scene.

The year 2015 consecrates his talent by winning the Award of Great Distinction in Bruges, Belgium, followed by a masterful exhibition in Budapest, Hungary, attesting to the strength of his composition on the European market.

The creator follows up his successes by presenting a solo exhibition at the Cégep de Victoriaville in 2016. His need for expansion leads him to co-create the AMALGAM duo collection with painter Éric J. Hughes in 2019, showcased at the Artothèque de Montréal. These alliances validate his authority within the architecture of contemporary art.

Following a momentary pause of essential incubation, Patrice Dufour is making a remarkable return today. The imposing construction of his relief reaching up to 40 millimeters brilliantly invested the walls of Galerie Lenoir (2025-2026) and captivated the public during the Salon des Artistes at Marché Bonsecours in 2026.

Empowered by this accomplishment, the integration of his vast organic structures now conquers the corporate space and sovereignly redefines prestigious interior design.
